4. Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team Show
The Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team was reestablished in 2012 by former employees who wanted to pass the legacy to the next generation. Monthly free shows take place on Lake Silver the third Saturday. A special 4th of July celebration event will take place July 3rd. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and the ski show begins at 7:00 p.m.
6. Detroit Tigers Spring Training and Lakeland Flying Tigers
The 2019 season marked the 83rd season of the Tigers using Joker Marchant Stadium as their spring training home. Lakeland’s Minor League Baseball team, the Lakeland Flying Tigers, uses the stadium in the summer. Today, fans, players and management are enjoying the newly renovated stadium, new administration and clubhouse building, scoreboard and weight room.
